Non-Operative Sports Medicine

Dr. Greer is a Winston-Salem, NC native. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at Clemson University, a Master’s of Science degree in Nutrition at East Carolina University, and his Doctor of Medicine degree at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

After obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Greer then completed a dual residency in Internal (adult) Medicine and Pediatrics in Richmond, VA where he served as chief resident. He subsequently completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship through the AnMed Health Primary Care Sports Medicine Program in Anderson, SC. During his fellowship Dr. Greer served as assistant team physician at Clemson University and head team physician at Anderson University, Southern Wesleyan University, and Liberty High School.

As a Primary Care Sports Medicine Specialist Dr. Greer treats all musculoskeletal and sports related issues. His focus is to exhaust all management options prior to surgery. When a surgical issue arises, Dr. Greer works closely with his surgical colleagues to assure optimal treatment. As a former collegiate wrestler at Clemson University, Dr. Greer understands an athlete’s desire to get back to participation. He also knows you don’t have to be an athlete to have an active lifestyle. Dr. Greer strives to get patients back into the game or to their active lifestyle as quickly and as safely as possible.

Dr. Greer specializes in non-surgical treatment including musculoskeletal injury evaluation and management, pediatrics, musculoskeletal ultrasound, Ultrasound guided injections, sports related concussion management, and nutrition counseling.

Dr. Greer is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Physicians, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American Academy of Sports Medicine, and the American Medical Association.

Residing in Raleigh with his wife and son; Dr. Greer enjoys playing sports, working out, spending time with his family and almost anything Clemson related.
