Passion and care for his patients….This is Dr. Singh’s philosophy, which he takes great pride in. Dr Singh has been in the practice of orthopedics for the last 6 years in Raleigh, NC. He is very well respected for his values by his patients, staff members, nurses and his peers.
Over the years, he has become a very established name. His approach has always been to try all conservative measures to improve the quality of life of his patients. His expertise is with shoulder, knee and hip replacements, as well as sports medicine practice, which include arthroscopies (minimally invasive surgery) of the shoulder, knee, hip, and ankle.
Dr Singh’s background is unique. He brings to the table a world of experience. He did his medical school training in India, moved the U.S in mid 90’s. He believed that to be a good provider, one needs to spend a lot of time researching their specialty. So, he did just that, spending nearly 3 years in the lab. His research gave him and the community great insight to basic and clinical understanding of orthopedics. He has published and presented his work at various national and international meetings. He then began his residency and specialty training of orthopedic surgery at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Singh is a board certified orthopedic Surgeon. He is a member of the Piedmont Orthopedic Society, a Fellow of American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, North Carolina orthopedic association, and The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Over his career, he has lectured on various topics in various meetings of orthopedic surgeons, primary care physicians, nurses, and physical therapists.
He is a panel member and active participant at the Wound Care Center at Duke Raleigh Hospital, which allows him to take care of the most challenging wounds that occur on the human body. He is also a specialist and certified expertise in hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
For 2 years in a row, he has been awarded as one of the Top orthopedic surgeons in the U.S, by the Consumers Research Council of America. He has also received the physician excellence award at Duke Raleigh Hospital.
In addition to being a very busy orthopedic surgeon, Dr Singh has been a very high level tennis player. His participation in the Davis Cup, Captain of his university team and winning various different laurels have made him very well rounded. He has also participated in team sports like cricket, which taught him the importance of team-work and sacrifice. He is a very enthusiastic bicyclist as well. By being an avid sports enthusiast, he is truly understanding about the complexity of sports medicine.
